Business against COVID-19: Baring Vostok and RAEC launch joint project AntiVirus2020.ru
On 25 March, Baring Vostok launched the business information portal www.antivirus2020.ru with analytical support provided by the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC). The main aim of the project is to assist businesses in the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic.
The goals of the project are to quickly collect, update and distribute information that would be useful for the business community during the current pandemic. This includes:
- Russian government initiatives directed at supporting business;
- Best global practices in combatting COVID-19;
- Case studies from large, small and medium-sized business;
- Recommendations for how to organise remote work for employees;
- Necessary measures to prevent the spread of infection.
“Every business faces the need to solve daily problems that are critical to its success and survival. Today, in addition to the usual challenges, businesses must prepare for the unpredictable consequences of quarantining key employees, supply chain disruptions and fluctuating demand. Of course, the first priority is to protect the health of employees and their families, as well as to ensure conditions for their productive work. But responsible businesses are also thinking about ways to support their customers and the interests of society as a whole,” said Ekaterina Lukyanova, Partner at Baring Vostok.
"Today, state assistance is becoming critical for businesses, as well as information about the measures the government is taking to stabilise the situation. Baring Vostok initiated the creation of a portal for businesses that will publish government initiatives, company cases and useful information for owners and employees. We support this initiative and are ready to provide the necessary analytical expertise on the part of RAEC," said Sergei Plugotarenko, Director of RAEC.
