Media Statement

23.06.2020
We believe that the court’s refusal to release our colleagues from house arrest and place them under less restrictive measures is unlawful and illogical. Our colleagues have been detained for a year and a half as part of a fabricated criminal case that has now hit a dead end. This criminal case was initiated by corporate raiders as part of a commercial dispute. These individuals continue to cling to unlawfully obtained control at Vostochny Bank. Today’s decision has been taken instead of allowing our colleagues to return to work and do what they do best: helping talented Russian entrepreneurs build their own business, creating new jobs and developing the country’s economy. All the facts point to the absence of corpus delicti and no one has any doubt of their innocence. We believe that this case should be dismissed for lack of corpus delicti.
