Tinkoff Bank named best digital bank in Central and Eastern Europe, according to Euromoney
Tinkoff Bank has won the Euromoney Award for Excellence as the Best Digital Bank in CEE.
Oliver Hughes, CEO of Tinkoff Bank, commented: «Since recently, banks have been widely perceived as lagging behind fintech start-ups in terms of responding to new technology. This award sends a clear message that technology-driven banks like Tinkoff Bank can also be fintech disruptors and adjust to changes ahead of the market.
We aim to make the lives of our customers easier and more comfortable by constantly improving our services. In doing so, we use channels that our clients value most, such as web and mobile.
Over the last year and half, we worked a lot to improve the bank’s service offering, focusing specifically on mobile development, and we are delighted that our efforts received recognition. The praise from the global financial markets industry is yet another evidence that Tinkoff Bank is on the right track.»
The Euromoney Awards for Excellence are highly prestigious awards in the global financial services industry.
Euromoney magazine commented: «Tinkoff Bank’s success in riding out Russia’s consumer finance collapse by virtue of its low-cost, online-only model and cutting-edge risk management earned the lender the title of best digital bank in the region.»
